What is a VPN?

What is a VPN and why should I use it?

A VPN is a system in which computing devices can reroute internet traffic through a server or computer located anywhere in the world. The main reason for doing this is security. When a company or user can reroute its traffic and hide it from local networks, it becomes harder for intruders to snoop through any files or delicate information.

Other people also use it for hiding their location and unlocking geographically restricted services. For example, Netflix or Hulu may not be available in a country you visit. Using a VPN that reroutes you web surfing to a USA computer would then allow you to use said websites.

Frequently Asked Questions.

1. Does this app give me free Internet?
No, this is a free VPN service and does NOT give you free Internet, you need your own data connection to be able to use this app.

2. VPN permission, unable to accept the permission dialog
There is an app on your device that interferes with the “confirm dialog box” and therefore you cannot press the OK button. The usual suspects are screen filters, custom launchers and auto brightness apps. Please disable them (or any other third party apps that may be interfering with the user interface) and then try again.

3. BitTorrent, P2P, unauthorized usage, suspended account
Use of peer-to-peer file-sharing softwares or downloading illegal or copyrighted material such as music and movies are not permitted. Repeat violations may result in permanent suspension of your account.

IMPORTANT: If the app is warning you about this, then it means there is at least one active app on your device that uses known file-sharing protocols, please look carefully and properly exit or disable them: Bare in mind that some of these apps can stay active in background long after you close them.

4. Changed the country but some of my apps still know my location
Some apps like Google Play and others know your location via GPS or Wifi and therefore changing your IP address to a different country will not effect them, i.e. you will not be able to install apps that are not available in your country just by changing your IP address.

5. Other platforms (iOS and Windows)
Unfortunately we currently do not have iOS or Windows version of this app, however we are working on them and as soon as they are ready we will let you know.

6. Do you log, collect my info or sell them to 3rd parties?
In short, we do not access, log, store or share your personal information (i.e. name, email, address, etc.). We also do not log, record or share your usernames, passwords, websites you visit or apps that you use.

For more details, please see our Privacy Policy document.

7. Unable to connect or disconnecting frequently
Please ensure you have an active and stable Internet connection (i.e. open your browser app and search for something in Google). If you still have any problems, please send us an email via the ‘Report a problem’ section of the app and we will try to help.
